Every year, MyRVResource.com has a booth at all three Tampa Bay RV Shows at the Florida State Fairgrounds. The Tampa Bay Summer RV Show is in June, the Tampa Bay Fall RV Show in November and the Florida RV SuperShow is held each January.
The Summer Show just wrapped up and oh boy, it was eventful!
Five local dealers brought over three acres of RVs of all different sizes and price ranges. There were Class A gas and diesel powered motorhomes, specialty Prevost diesel pushers, lots of travel trailers, fifth wheels and fifth wheel toy haulers. The dealers also showcased Class C, Super C and tons of cool camper vans.
Even though the weather was spotty, thousands of attendees poured into Expo Hall over the four day event to enjoy some air conditioning and great food from local vendors.
The MidFlorida Amphitheater, also located on the Florida State Fairgrounds, held two major concerts as well. Tears for Fears played on Friday and Kid Rock put on a sold-out show on Saturday, after a rain delay.
Speaking of rain (this taboo word must not be spoken during any RV show)...
On Saturday, lightning struck a transformer and we lost power during the final hour of the show. Undeterred, the awesome staff of the Florida RV Trade Association (FRVTA) took it in stride and helped attendees, vendors and RV dealers navigate the grounds and continue with business as usual.
A Huge thank you to all FRVTA staff! Patty, Lesa, Jerilyn, Ana, Sharlene and Dave are some truly amazing people and we appreciate how much work goes into coordinating RV shows and the annual FRVTA state convention.
