On December 4, Jason and I hosted the inaugural RV service provider meetup at the Tampa RV park that we call home, Citrus Hills RV park.
There were more than twenty attendees whose services include RV training, RV inspection, mobile RV repair technicians and even a couple who provide RV transportation services and own RV storage facilities.
Some RV service pros have been RVing or providing RV services for decades and some are just getting started in the field. Some call central Florida home and some are snowbirds, while others have landed here for their first visit.
We enjoyed a meal and talked about the RV industry’s past, present and future.
2022 Tampa Bay RV Super Show
Lots of RV service pros asked questions about the Tampa RV SuperShow which will be held January 18 – 23, 2022 at the Florida State Fairgrounds. We shared our thoughts regarding being members of the Florida RV Trade Association and the wonderful benefits it affords Florida RV service providers.
Once again, My RV Inspection and My RV Resource will have side-by-side booths in the Main Supplier building (#301-302) so please stop by and say hello if you’re in the area.
The discussions also included how to secure additional sources of revenue and how to market and advertise while traveling across this beautiful nation. Seasoned RV service providers shared their experiences about business decisions they’ve made and which they wish they’d done differently.
Jason talked about the partnerships we’re nurturing with some major players in the industry. These relationships have the potential to provide additional sources of revenue for My RV Resource members and most will include discounts on programs across various categories in the RV industry.

We also introduced several new services that My RV Resource will provide heading into the new year.
For any RV service providers that need a website, Jason is offering website builds with hosting and SEO. These website builds have an extremely low up-front cost with reasonable monthly fees and include a lot more functionality for the RV service provider. Not to mention, the websites are built by an experienced RV service pro specializing in the RV industry.
Specifically for certified RV inspectors, My RV Resource provides HomeGauge Setup services. One service includes RV inspection templates that are branded to individual companies and includes auto comments and additional information that we’ve gathered after performing roughly 700 RV inspections since 2017.
Another HomeGauge Setup service inputs contracts and other documents into the online inspector dashboard, sets up email templates to be shared with customers prior to and following the RV inspection, and teaches the RV inspector how to encourage customers to use the CRL (Create Request List) feature for repairs and negotiation post-inspection.
Both of these HomeGauge Setup services will ensure that RV inspectors have a streamlined process for booking inspections, inspection report writing and report delivery as well as fostering the relationship with the customer after the RV inspection.

We truly enjoyed hosting this in-person get together and we intend to have more meetups in the future.
However, we also understand that traveling to Tampa isn’t feasible for most of our members.
The feedback we’ve received is that there is a real interest in virtual meetings so we plan to implement those as well.
