Check Out This Brand New RV Inspection By Master Certified Inspectors Jason & Lisa Carletti That Has A Rotten Slideout Floor
I just want to show you the RV that I’m actually inspecting. I want to show you the VIN data plate just so you can see that this RV was built in February of this year. Today, we’re in the middle of April. So this thing is two months old. Let’s go have a look at the one thing I’m going to show you this week.
I have to put my shoes on. I never inspect an RV with my shoes because I am trying to take care of the RV for the buyer. We’re going to walk around here to the slideout once again, this is a two-month-old RV.
What Did We Find?
The biggest thing I’ve found so far is right here underneath the slideout. Now you can see that that vapor barrier, I guess you would call it is ripped and then if you look at the wood, you can see some water staining. Now that wood is also swollen and it’s soft. So this is a two-month-old RV with a rotten slideout floor, I mean, if that’s not a reason to get an RV inspection or at least educate yourself to know what to look for when you’re buying an RV, I don’t know what is. These RV dealerships will say anything to keep you from getting an RV inspection.
Conclusion
Don’t listen to them. They’re trying to sell you an RV. We’re here to do the work to show you what’s wrong. So when you buy the RV, you can have all that fixed before you leave the lot. So I’m signing out for this one. That was your weekly one reason, a rotten slideout floor on a 2022 RV. That is two months old. Have a nice day.
