I’m bringing you another Weekly One Reason To Get An RV Inspection So let’s go see the manufacture date on this RV. This RV was at the 2023 Florida RV Super Show. It’s where I booked the RV inspection. You can see the data of manufacture is June 2022.
Let’s go inside and I’m getting ready to finish up my RV inspection here so it’s a little dark in here. I just ran the slideout in. On a lot of these slideouts, there are two sweep seals on the sides, the top, and possibly on the bottom. Now on this one, the interior sweep seal was installed in such a way that it cannot flip outward when the slideout is extended. That gives the scenario where water can get inside the RV. Right here you see this sweep seal and that top one was installed before the side one. It will not flip outward because of how it was installed.
Had these people not contacted me to get an RV inspection, that’s just one of the things that they wouldn’t have known about. It’s brand new and the dealership’s going to fix that before they sign the paperwork. Hopefully they have a good experience with RVing, rather than buying something and taking it out the first time and find these issues. Then have to bring it back to the shop and sits in the shop for 3, 4, 5, or 6 months before they get it back. They could be making payments on the RV the whole time. That’s what we’re here trying to stop from happening.
