Your Seals Could Allow Water Intrusion Cover

Let’s check out this RV seal that could allow water in an RV slideout.

Hello everyone! It’s Jason with MyRVResource.com – It’s Like the Yellow Pages for RV Services! Make sure you’re checking it out.

I come to you today with your Weekly One Reason to Get an RV Inspection. Today we’re going to talk about the seals on the RV slideout. Looks can be deceiving, but a certified RV inspector can look for these issues.

We’re going to show you what this one reason to get an RV inspection is. Let me turn my camera around and tell you this is a 2014 class A Diesel Pusher. We’re just going to go look at this sweep seal that could allow water in the slideout. As you go up that sweep seal, it doesn’t really look like anything’s wrong with it. You shouldn’t have any issues right? That’s where a trained eye can find what’s going on for you. Let’s go up and see what I see and it doesn’t really look like anything’s wrong. You can see the slideout seal isn’t attached to the sidewall any longer by pulling on it. That’s an area where water can potentially get into this RV and do a lot of damage.

Without a trained eye looking for issues like this you may miss it until it’s too late. Then when I say, too late you’ve got water damage inside the RV. This could be a really costly fix compared to the cost of an RV inspection. This is something they can get fixed before they take this RV off the lot and not have to worry about it.

Once again this is Jason coming to you with your Weekly One Reason to Get an RV Inspection and it’s really important folks. You can see that this issue could cause some some damage you don’t want. We’re looking for these issues while everybody else is looking at the curtains and things like the interior in the floor plan. The certified RV inspector is finding the issues that you can’t see. Make sure you get an RV inspection before you buy a new or used RV. Have a nice day.
